It is descriptive information for the discovery and identification of your books. 

It includes the following elements.

Subtitle

Author Name

Description

Editorial Reviews

Author Bio

Keywords

Categories

Product Details

Community Reviews

Legal metadata provides information about the creator, copyright holder, and public licensing if provided.

Simply put, Amazon uses categories and keywords that you use when publishing your books, so they can be found by readers, libraries, etc.

It is therefore of utmost importance that you choose the correct keywords and categories when publishing your book
