Power of Reading

Today is World Book Day and some thoughts come to mind.
1. This day serves to remind us of the real value of reading in a new technological age.
2. Our vast libraries across the world offer a multitude of texts in a variety of formats and are available via computers, tablets, phones, ipads, and other electronic devices. Overdrive is one such library.
3.We have universal access to the world's vast storehouse of knowledge via Amazon. Draft2Digital, and others.
4.The number of authors in today's world has exploded.
5.We have both traditional publishers and self-publishers offering books in every genre.
We value our traditional publishers highly.
Independent Authors have chosen to self-publish and today I want to recognize every Independent Author on planet Earth.
6. Parents are encouraging their children from an early age to read and this is remarkable.
Let us all continue the pattern of reading and learning because books are available in every form.
You can read in the car or under a tree.
Just set the stage and keep turning the page.
Happy World Book Day.
