How to Write for Success Literary Magazine: 6th Anniversary Issue

The How to Write for Success Literary Forum celebrated its 6th Anniversary with its Literary Ambassadors, longstanding members, top contributors, and Founders of many Forums on 6th February 2024.
The articles and poems submitted by well-wishers to this magazine were compiled and published by the Founder of the Forum, Trinidadian Brenda Mohammed, in both EBook and Paperback.

The Magazine was edited by the Chief Literary Ambassador for Trinidad and Tobago, Florabelle Lutchman.
Fiona Gobin, Literary Ambassador assisted the Founder with the Cover design.
Certificates were awarded to all participants.
Both members and the Administration have lived up to the name, ‘How to Write for Success.’
At How to Write for Success Literary Forum, founded by Brenda Mohammed, the motto is, Sharing Literary Talent Worldwide.”

The EBook was FREE between Tuesday, February 6th, 2024, 12:00 AM PST and Saturday, February 10th, 2024, 11:59 PM PST, but has now reverted to US $1.99.

                THE KEY TO PEACE IS IN OUR HOME

“Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.” [Proverbs 22:6].

A strong family is the glue binding each individual to the world.

Family togetherness is a driving force and should be our goal.

Family prayer is both a religious and relational practice.

Prayer provides opportunities to express mutual love and forgiveness.

When you fall in life, your family should be there to catch you.

Choose to uplift each other and make prayer a positive experience too.

Be considerate of each other and refrain from criticizing the other.

Prayer is about intimacy with the Lord and with one another.

*

Children mimic their parent’s behaviour.

Parents should conduct themselves in a Godly manner.

Children are the future of our nation.

Let us train them for God’s eternal kingdom.

      GRAND FINALE OF INTERNATIONAL POETRY  CONTEST 

In the first round of the International Poetry Contest sponsored by Milli Dueli, there were as many as 711 authors from 104 countries.

The competition spanned over one year and was made up of five rounds.

In the first four rounds, authors presented written poems to the Jury Members.

In the fifth round, the authors presented their poems in an audio-visual performance (video recitation) that they had designed themselves.

Only 126 authors from 82 countries made it to the fifth round.

Trinidad and Tobago are among the 126  selected participants of the Grand Final and will receive a special plaque at the end of the contest.

Also, all national winners from their country will receive special plaques for winning first place in their category.

MILI DUELI is a poetry competition with a unique format and is the Mastermind of   Nermin Delić from Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The Grand Prize for the entire contest is a trophy which will be awarded in the home country of the winner.

The floating Queen Emma Bridge will blow you away.

The beaches are tucked into coves and it’s a diving site.

Its expansive coral reefs are rich with marine life.

I have spent vacations on these exquisite islands.

Beautiful memories with loved ones grace my photo albums.

The Caribbean is the place to go for a memorable holiday.

THE TEMPTATION OF CHRIST

THE TEMPTATION OF CHRIST

We learn many lessons from the spiritual battle between Jesus and Satan.

Jesus fasted 40 days and nights in the Judean Desert, after his baptism.

Satan tried to tempt Him in a similar way that Satan tempts us.

Jesus rebuked Satan in his three attempts to turn Him away from God’s purpose.

*

Jesus was hungry but did not yield to Satan’s suggestion.

Satan told him to make bread out of stones to relieve His hunger

Jesus replied it is written that man does not live on bread alone,

To Him, God’s Word was more filling than bread made from stone.

*

The devil led him to a high place and showed Him the worldly kingdoms.

He said that he would give Him all their authority and splendour.

Satan said he could give it to anyone if they worship him solely.

Jesus said it was written to worship and serve the Lord God only.

*

The devil led Jesus to the temple’s highest peak in Jerusalem.

Satan told Him if He were the Son of God to throw Himself down.

For it was written that God would send His angels to lift Him up.

He would not allow Him to strike His foot if He dropped.

*

Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit and said aloud,

Satan should not attempt to test the Lord God.

Jesus quoted Scripture in replying to the Prince of the World.

Similarly, we can rebuke Satan if we know God’s Word.

*

Jesus, the humble Messiah, triumphed over Satan.

He adhered to God’s plan of salvation for all nations.

Jesus did not fail God to satisfy hunger or vain glory.

We can all learn from Jesus’ example in this true Biblical story.
