EXTRACT FROM ZEEKA RETURNS: REVENGE OF ZEEKA

EXTRACT FROM ZEEKA RETURNS: REVENGE OF ZEEKA

In the third episode of the futuristic thriller Zeeka Chronicles: Revenge of Zeeka, set in the year 2036, Bill Grady confessed to Steven Sharpe why he kidnapped him forty years before, and why he sought revenge on the hospital.

Grady told Steven that he thought he was his son.

Steven laughed sarcastically. “Ha! What on earth made you think that?” asked Steven.

“Your mother and I were engaged to be married,” Grady said.

Steven got up to leave and said, “I do not believe that. You are trying to manipulate me once again.”

Grady pleaded with Steven. “Steven, please sit down. I am speaking the truth. Your mother and I were in love.

We got engaged without her father’s permission, and he did everything in his power to prevent our marriage.”

Steven sat down, and Grady continued. “The good doctor did not want his daughter to marry a police officer.

He wanted her to marry your father, who was also a physician. She listened to her father, and she jilted me. I could not get over her. I thought that you were my son. I asked her, and she denied it, and I did not believe her.”

Steven got up again to leave. “You are a sick man, Grady. You thought I was your son, so you kidnapped me?”

Grady tried his best to convince Steven to stay and listen to him. “I have loved you as if you were my own. I sent you to medical school so you would become famous just as your biological father. Everything I have belongs to you. I made a will. My attorney will contact you after I am gone,” said Grady.

“I do not want anything that belongs to you. After you are gone, you say. You are not going anywhere except behind bars for the rest of your life. You robbed me of my life with my parents and only brother.  You forced me to make a vaccine so you could create those zombies. You told me you wanted to introduce them into the police force as robots instead of tracker dogs. But what did you do? You used them to kill and maim people for your personal vendetta. I cannot listen to any more of this.” Steven was ready to leave once more.

Grady held on to him pleading, “I beg of you. Before you leave, please forgive me. I need your forgiveness.  Steven, I’m sorry.”  Steven pulled his hand away and signalled to the officers to open for him and without replying to Grady, he walked out. The two officers returned Grady to his cell.

REVENGE OF ZEEKA WAS INSPIRED BY THE ZIKA VIRUS

REVENGE OF ZEEKA WAS INSPIRED BY THE ZIKA VIRUS

In 2017, I wrote a Futiristic Thriller Series inspired by the Zika Virus.

A script for a Movie is being written.

Revenge of Zeeka: Five book Series

Read the Series on AMAZON.

A few weeks ago, Dr. James Bale saw a series of MRI images in a medical journal of MRI scans of babies infected with Zika in the womb.

The scans showed something Bale had seen only a few times in his 30-year career: a phenomenon called fetal brain disruption sequence.

As the fetus's brain starts to grow, it creates pressure, which pushes on the skull and causes it to grow. But if something stops brain growth — such as a virus — pressure on the skull drops, and the skull can collapse down onto the brain.

The skin around the head continues to grow, Bale says. So the baby is born with wrinkles of skin at the back of the neck and a tiny skull. In some cases, the baby's head is as small as an orange, or about half the size of a healthy baby's head.

"It's quite remarkable what the Zika virus is doing to the brain of young infants," Bale says. "Many of them will die often in infancy, and the majority, if not all, will then have a long-term, severe developmental problems."

Zika Is Linked To Microcephaly, Health Agencies have confirmed.

Review
Extending from her Zeeka and the Zombies trilogy is Mohammed's most nostalgic offering, Zeeka's Ghost.
Zeeka is back but not at all how you expect. Unresolved issues, regrets, and love are all splendidly woven together with the right mix of startling plot twists the author is masterful at.
Fans of the series will not be disappointed and new fans will be caught up to speed in no time. Another thrilling read! [Amazon Reviewe

Zeeka Chronicles - Gold Award Winner in EMagazine Readers Choice 2018

The results are out. I am so excited.A very big Thank You to all who Voted.
Zeeka Chronicles: Revenge of Zeeka is the Gold Winner in Emagazine Readers Choice Awards 2018 in the Category Science Fiction and Fantasy.
This is the second award received by Zeeka Chronicles: Revenge of Zeeka since it was published in 2017.
In 2017 the book won a bronze award in the category science fiction from Metamorph Publishing.
In addition, Readers Favorite gave the book a five-star review and five-star seal in September 2017.

Why I wrote Zeeka Chronicles: Revenge of Zeeka.

I wrote this book to highlight the fact that improvement in modern technology and scientific improvements in the medical field can never improve the minds of individuals.
The book is set in the year 2036 when there is a great advancement in medical and information technology.
It is a high-tech world.
Robots act as home helpers and police use high tech weaponry, electric cars, and smartphones.
The hospitals are well equipped with state of the art equipment and doctors and scientists are making significant breakthroughs and inventing cures for patients with critical illnesses.
Yet, in that high-tech world, the minds of human beings did not change.
Can Mankind ever achieve a sinless state?
Will human beings forever continue to foster greed, malice, anger, jealousy, and the desire to control and take revenge?
When I was born, there was no electricity and therefore no refrigerators, air-conditioning, televisions, telephones, and amenities in our homes like we have today.
Education was not even a priority and there were not many schools and universities.
Today, in spite of all the new and advanced developments, crime has increased to unstoppable levels.
What will change humanity?
Modern inventions and new technology will never change the evil minds of men.
In the book of John 3: Verse 7, Jesus said, “Ye must be born again.”

About the book

Zeeka Chronicles: Revenge of Zeeka is about a vengeful man who misuses science for revenge in the year 2036 to create havoc in a small exotic island named Gosh.
He is angry for two reasons.
After his former lover jilted him, he married another on rebound.
His wife contracted the zika virus when she was pregnant.
His child was born deformed as a result, and his wife died.
He blamed the hospital for her death and his deformed child.
This vengeful man kidnapped the son of his former lover and the story evolves thereafter.

My Favourite Character.

Dr. Steven Sharpe is my favorite character in Zeeka Chronicles.
One fateful day, when Steven was just seven years old, he was riding his bike home after visiting a friend who lived in a secluded part of the city.
His bike broke down, and he was trying to fix it.
A police jeep stopped, and the police officer asked if he could help.
There was no one else in the vehicle.
Steven saw no harm in allowing a police officer to help since they are there to protect and serve.
Or, so he thought.
The police officer came out of the vehicle, looked at his bike, turned it over and tried to repair it.
He then told Steven that it needed to go to a bicycle shop.
He offered to drive Steven home.
Steven trusted the police officer, accepted the lift, and never saw his home and family again.
The police officer, who turned out to be Zeeka, threatened the boy to kill his parents and brother if he ever tried to escape from him.
He boasted about his police connections and Steven was fearful of him and did whatever he asked.
The man could not legally adopt him and changed the boy’s name to Jason Stephens.
He sent him to medical school and he turned out to be the top medical doctor and research scientist on the island of Gosh.
Zeeka tried to use him for evil means.
Dr. Steven Sharpe knew all of Zeeka’s secrets.

Who are the primary readers of your book?

I wrote the book for both mature audiences and young adults.
The book contains five stories in the series, which are being sold separately.

Why should readers buy it?

The benefits to readers are the underlying lessons to be learned from the content, as well as a saving on both paperback and kindle versions. Instead of paying for the five books in the series, it will cost cheaper to buy one book.

How long did it take to write it?

The series took me one year to write.

How did you come up with the title?

I used the name Zeeka because it is the name of the main character and the close relation to the zika virus.

Why did you choose this cover?

My cover designer, Sharon Brownlie, generously donated the cover.
She gives away three covers annually.
I just happened to see her post about it on Facebook and contacted her immediately for the one I used for this book.
The cover depicts the story.

What do you want to say to your readers?
Zeeka Chronicles received a five-star rating from Readers Favorite in September 2017.
I do hope that you enjoy it and will leave a review.

About the author
Brenda Mohammed was a successful Bank Manager and after she retired from banking, moved on to Insurance where she also excelled.
A diagnosis of cancer changed her career aspirations and her writing journey began after she was cured.
She wrote 'I am Cancer Free - A Memoir,' and self-published it in June 2013 eight years after her near-death experience. .
She wrote five more memoirs about her life as a banker, retirement, travel, her father's biography, and a spiritual memoir, before trying her hand at fiction.
Brenda tried fiction because of something that her brother said to her in one of his letters prior to his death.
In 2014 she wrote two short story collections but still felt the need to write more exciting stories.
With the upsurge of the zika virus in 2016, an idea for a science fiction series came to her and in February 2016, she published Zeeka and the Zombies: Revenge of Zeeka Book 1. Within a few months, she released Zeeka’s Child Book 2, and Zeeka Returns Book 3. She compiled the first three books into a trilogy called Revenge of Zeeka: Horror Trilogy.
The following year she added two more books to the series - Zeeka’s Ghost Book 4 and Resurrection Book 5 and compiled the five books into one book called Zeeka Chronicles: Revenge of Zeeka. The book is growing in popularity every day.
Brenda can be contacted at brenchristo@gmail.com
Her telephone number is 19543547498.

Here are a few quotes from reviewers of the book:
“Brenda Mohammed skillfully crafted a very current thread—ZIKA virus as a major issue with an interesting twist.”

“Fans of Twilight Zone and Outer Limits TV series episodes should find these shorts right up their alley.”

“To every, action there is a consequence and the Zeeka Chronicles illustrates this perfectly.
A futuristic story, using the recent scare of the Zika virus.“

“Zeeka Chronicles is a horror story based or subject matter as relevant today as in the well-crafted, dystopian, science fiction created by author Brenda Mohammed.”

“Apart from a thrilling story, the author gives us an interesting vision of the future, which seems entirely possible to me. She describes incredible progress in technology while humans do not change as much or as quickly. Her characters are still very much like people we know.
They exhibit human weaknesses, can get jealous, vindictive, and neglectful.”

“Just when you thought you knew everything about Zombies, comes this imaginative tale that re-defines their existence.”

“Brenda Mohammed's writing style is evocative of the future and she handles the science in her fiction brilliantly: reading is believing!
I loved Zeeka Chronicles; it has worldwide appeal for anyone looking for an entertaining story that is different.'

Who will save the islanders from the Zombies?

Who was controlling the zombies?
Read a five-star review of Revenge of Zeeka: Horror Trilogy from Readers Favorite:
"Reviewed by Faridah Nassozi for Readers' Favorite.\

In Revenge of Zeeka by Brenda Mohammed, the island of Gosh is under attack by an army of zombies under the command of a vengeful science genius. In the year 2016, the Zika virus broke out in Central and South America with life-threatening effects for pregnant women. Given a choice to save the mothers or the unborn babies, a decision was made to save the mothers. The tiny stillborns were securely and secretly buried. Only a few people knew of this. Unknown to everyone, however, a certain scientist managed to get hold of all 51 bodies, bring them back to life, and condition them to follow his command, creating himself a perfect army of zombies. Now, twenty years later, the evil scientist seeks revenge on those he holds responsible for the stillbirths. Only three of the current doctors at Central Hospital - Raynor, Mark, and George - witnessed the unfortunate events of 2016. The three have strong suspicions about who might be controlling the zombies. Meanwhile, Zeeka is lying in wait for the perfect time to unleash his army onto the island. Zeeka has big, evil plans and this is just the beginning. In a desperate search for answers, and with very little to go on, the doctors search for the elusive Master Zeeka. Will they save the islanders from Zeeka and his zombies, or will it be too late?

Revenge of Zeeka by Brenda Mohammed is a one of a kind novella trilogy that delivers an incredible story guaranteed to give readers an absolute sci-fi treat. I especially liked how Brenda used current events as the pivotal point from which to build this amazing sci-fi horror. This made the story even more relatable. More importantly, however, I admired how she owned her story and created this captivating version of events. She captured with an amazing depth the setting, characters, plot, and emotions in such few words. If you are looking for a thrilling short read, this fast-paced, sci-fi action novella will give you the time of your life.

Do you love ghost stories?
Then you would love Zeeka's Ghost.
The drama of the Zeeka Series continues in Zeeka's Ghost: Revenge of Zeeka Book 4.
This book is the fourth installment in the Science Fiction series, Zeeka Chronicles.
Swift. Silent. Ghostly, Zeeka's Ghost appears to Steven.
Does the ghost have evil intentions?
Is Zeeka's Ghost here to harm or help Steven and Mandy?
Are Steven and Mandy targets of unknown enemies?
Are their lives at stake?
Steven must find a way to hunt down and apprehend ruthless kidnappers and save his beloved wife.
Will he succeed or will his efforts be futile?
Do not miss this thrilling episode.

REVIEW

A thrilling story showing the tight connection between Zeeka and his adopted son, Stephen
Format: Paperback
In this fourth story of the Zeeka series, Zeeka's ghost returns to warn Stephen about an impending threat to his life.
Not only does the ghost warn Stephen, but he actually helps Stephen defend himself from the bad guys who try to kill him
because they are unsatisfied with the money they received as compensation for the loss of their loved ones during Zeeka's rampage
in his lifetime.

The author puts a remarkable twist in the story when she turns Zeeka into the good guy who is now showing concern for the welfare of his illegally adopted child.
Zeeka is actually trying to atone for his sins and to get a peaceful burial after he committed suicide in prison.

At this point, Stephen and his wife, Mandy, are happily married and living on the lsland on Gosh appears normal.
Stephen is successful in his medical career and does some outstanding work on Alzhaimer's disease.
He discovers a cure and is honored with a prestigious prize. Mandy works as a nurse at the sane hospital as her husband and they have a comfortable life.

In the midst of his happiness, Stephen is tormented by the appearance of Zeeka's ghost.
However, the ghost turns out to be useful when Mandy
is captured by the evil guys and Stephen goes to rescue her by himself.
It is at this point that the bad guys are remarkably struck down by Zeeka, who is visible only to Stephen. Stephen is then able to take away his wife.

This clever turn of events in the plot keeps the reader engaged in this exciting story as he or she reads to find out what will happen next.
Once one starts to read the book, it is difficult to stop. It is interesting and suspenseful and holds the readers' interest.
It takes place in an idealistic, futuristic world where life turns out well for those who are honest and hard-working.
Problems are quickly resolved and good triumphs over evil in the end.

All in all, this story is a wonderful addition to the Zeeka trilogy by the same author.
The work is clearly constructed and the prose is easy to read, as characteristic of the author's style. Congratulations to the author for another well-done piece!

Women in Horror 2018 - Jeannie Wycherley features Revenge of Zeeka by Brenda Mohammed

REVENGE OF ZEEKA: HORROR TRILOGY

A strange – looking person turned up at the renowned Gosh Hospital in the scenic island of Gosh in the year 2036.
He asked to see Dr. George Brown, Medical Chief of staff.

He claimed to be a zombie who reported to Master Zeeka and revealed information about a plot to attack the hospital.

Dr. Brown, suspicious of his motives, sedated him, left him in Room Nine, and called a meeting of the hospital doctors to discuss the recorded conversation between the zombie and himself.
The zombie had no name and Dr. Brown referred to him as Number Nine because he had left him in Room 9.

Nine outsmarted Dr. Brown and disappeared, causing the doctors with the exception of two, Dr. Raynor Sharpe and Dr. Mark Schmidt, to disbelieve what Dr. Brown told them.
They even questioned whether Nine was really a zombie as he made no attempt to attack any humans in the hospital.
The three doctors vowed to uncover the truth.

A few weeks later at the national Carnival celebrations, a colourful sailor band with zombie-like persons launched a fatal attack on innocent spectators, confirming Number Nine’s revelations to Dr. Brown. It appeared that Number Nine died in that attack? Fingers were pointed at one man for the brutal attacks, but was he the real perpetrator? One man knew Zeeka’s secrets and he revealed them on a flash drive.

Did the authorities believe him or did they falsely accuse him?

Read the five-star review from Readers Favorite.

In Revenge of Zeeka: Horror Trilogy by Brenda Mohammed, the island of Gosh is under attack by an army of zombies under the command of a vengeful science genius.

Only three of the current doctors at Central Hospital – Raynor, Mark, and George – witnessed the unfortunate events of 2016.

Praise for the Trilogy

Revenge of Zeeka, by Brenda Mohammed, is a one of a kind novella trilogy that delivers an incredible story guaranteed to give readers an absolute sci-fi treat.
I especially liked how Brenda used current events as the pivotal point from which to build this amazing sci-fi horror.

This made the story even more relatable.
More importantly, however, I admired how she owned her story and created this captivating version of events.
She captured with amazing depth the setting, characters, plot, and emotions in such few words.
If you are looking for a thrilling short read, this fast-paced, sci-fi action novella will give you the time of your life.”

A Summary for the Revenge of Zeeka Science Fiction Series

Zeeka and The Zombies is the first story in the science fiction series Zeeka Chronicles, which contains five spine-chilling tales set on an imaginary Caribbean island called Gosh in the year 2036.
The book Zeeka and the Zombies serves as an introduction to this mind-boggling series.
Integrated in the mystery is a love story as well as a family drama. The combination of these three aspects in this collection makes it an exciting read. Persons who enjoy detective novels, romance fiction, or science fiction will love this book.
The main character in Zeeka and the Zombies is Raynor Sharpe, a gynecologist who works at a hospital on the island. He, together with the hospital's director and another doctor, Mark, were working at the hospital twenty years before when an outbreak of the zika virus occurred.
The hospital delivered fifty-one stillborn babies from pregnant women who were infected with the virus during their pregnancy. However, it turned out that the babies were not buried but were, in fact, taken by someone evil and turned into zombies.
The secret is revealed when one of the zombies, Number Nine, appeared at the hospital, having been sent by the vengeful and evil Master Zeeka, to survey the scene so that he could attack the hospital in the future. But was he a real zombie?
In the meantime, Raynor's love interest, Janet, also a doctor at the same hospital, told Raynor that she is engaged and plans to marry another doctor.
She sent out invitations to all her colleagues, including Raynor. Raynor was always secretly in love with Janet but had never proposed to her although he had bought an engagement ring intending to do so. The plot thickens when the wedding invitation reveals that Janet's fiancé is Dr. Jason Stephens, who the police suspect of being Master Zeeka.
Jason calls off the engagement with Janet and disappears. Raynor finally proposes to Janet and she gladly accepts.
The police cannot find Master Zeeka, but Raynor and his new bride enjoy a magnificent honeymoon.

The story continues in Zeeka's Child. The search for Master Zeeka intensifies.
We learn that the main suspect, Jason Stephens, is actually innocent.
The real culprit is revealed and is a person who had kidnapped Jason when he was a child.
Jason is Raynor’s older brother, Dr. Steven Sharpe who returns and reunites with his brother. Steven is the real hero in the series.
Steven marries Mandy, Janet’s older sister.
The police force launches a massive hunt for the real killer.

In the third instalment, Zeeka Returns, the police hunt down the real killer and the nine flesh-eating zombies that accompany him in the jungle. These scenes are full of suspense and tension as we wonder whether the police officers would capture Master Zeeka or whether the zombies will destroy them.
It turns out, however, that he is eventually captured, not by the police, but by Miranda, a beautiful female robot who had been employed by Raynor and Janet.
Zeeka commits suicide while in custody.

Just when you thought the story was over Zeeka returns in Zeeka's Ghost: Revenge of Zeeka 4.
Zeeka is back but not how you expect.
Unresolved issues, regrets, love, and a ghost, with the right mix of startling plot twists, makes this story a thrilling read.
Who would want to kidnap Mandy, and why?
Can Steven save her from the clutches of the kidnappers in time?

A questionable character returns from one of the previous books in ‘Resurrection: Revenge of Zeeka 5.’ He causes even more disarray in the lives of Steven and Mandy.
Dr. Steven Sharpe's reputation is on the line when he attempts an unimaginable cure to help a man desperate for a new life.
One more burning question is answered in this episode. The identity of Number Nine is revealed.
Resurrection closes the Zeeka series on a high note.
The many twists and turns in this book make it exciting, thrilling and suspenseful.

Blog Takeover by Kathy Denver - Meet Brenda Mohammed

Meet Brenda Mohammed
From Banker to Author - who would have imagined that a harrowing diagnosis of cancer could change your career and open a whole new world!! Thank you for sharing, Brenda Mohammed!!

Zeeka Chronicles: Revenge of Zeeka [Science Fiction and fantasy]

I did not choose writing as my career. It happened by chance.

I was a successful banker and after I retired from banking, moved on to Insurance where I also excelled. I qualified for the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table six times in a row and had the privilege to attend MDRT Conferences abroad. Those opportunities broadened my knowledge in new areas which prepared me for writing.

My writing journey began after my bout with cancer. I wrote 'I am Cancer Free' and self-published it in June 2013 eight years after my near-death experience with cancer. I wrote that book to tell people suffering from that disease that cancer does not have to be a death sentence. That book [my first] was the winner of Mc Grath House Indie Book Awards in the category Non-Fiction in September 2016. It also received a five-star review and five-star seal from Readers Favorite in 2017.

I traveled extensively on vacations and conferences for many years during my banking and Insurance careers, and even after retirement. I wrote four memoirs about my life as a banker, retirement, travel, and a spiritual one, all before trying my hand at fiction.

I tried fiction because of something that my brother said to me in one of his letters prior to his death. He wrote in reference to my book, ‘My Life as a Banker: A Life Worth Living,'
“Your book makes very pleasant reading, and your literary expression is superb and easy to follow. You have an excellent talent, and I think you should follow up on a leisurely basis with perhaps publishing a book of short stories. With fiction, you will have greater opportunity to use your imagination and your undoubted descriptive ability. You used the word 'fantasize' to create a situation. This is an outstanding quality, which you should continue to use because it is imagination, which disposes of everything, coming from within you. It creates beauty, justice, and happiness, which are everything in this world.”

I took my brother’s advice and in the year 2014 wrote, ‘Heart-Warming Tales,’ and ‘Stories People Love.’ Both books are short story collections. They each received five-star reviews from readers, but I still felt that I needed to write more exciting stories.

An idea for a science fiction series came to me and in February 2016, I published Zeeka and the Zombies: Revenge of Zeeka Book 1. Within a few months, I released Zeeka’s Child Book 2, and Zeeka Returns Book 3. The series scored a double with Readers Favorite. I had compiled the first three books into a trilogy called Revenge of Zeeka: Horror Trilogy. In September 2016, I submitted the trilogy to Readers Favorite for a free review. The book received a five-star review and five-star seal. You can read the review here.

The following year I added two more books to the series - Zeeka’s Ghost Book 4 and Resurrection Book 5. I compiled the five books into one book called Zeeka Chronicles: Revenge of Zeeka. I sent it to Readers Favorite for a free review and it received a five-star review and five-star seal. Read the review from Readers Favorite.
A fan nominated the book for the Metamorph Publishing Summer Indies Book Awards. It won Best Science Fiction third place in September 2017.
These are headlines Reviewers wrote in their Reviews for Zeeka Chronicles.
