This extract is taken from one of the books I have written, YOUR TIME IS NOW.

“When we are born into this world, we come with nothing except a body and soul. When we die, our bodies remain on the ground and our souls return to God. Our souls are not our minds. Our minds are concerned about survival on Earth. The Soul is the aspect of us that is non-physical and belongs to God. The soul will give an account to God about what we were in this Life.

The soul is not concerned about the worldly things of this life. True, we live according to world standards to achieve the most comfortable way of life while we are here on earth.

Having a good education, a great job, and a lovely house, are not our real purposes in life. When one awakens to one’s soul and connects with one’s soul, one will start to live from the agenda of one’s soul.  Only then will one find one’s purpose in Life.”

I wrote this poem in my book, YOUR TIME IS NOW: A TIME TO BE BORN AND A TIME TO DIE.

THE FUTURE WORLD

[Daniel Chapter 2]


Nebuchadnezzar had a dream, which he was unable to cipher,
A statue with a head made of fine gold, with chest and arms of silver.
Belly and thighs of bronze and legs of iron displayed,
Its feet combined of iron and clay had Nebuchadnezzar amazed.


A mighty rock smashed the statue’s feet causing it to sway
After shattering it to bits, the wind blew the bits away.
The rock covered the earth and Nebuchadnezzar awoke.
He pondered on this dream and his thoughts were provoked.


Magicians, enchanters, sorcerers, and astrologers were consulted.
All scratched their heads, and Nebuchadnezzar felt insulted.
Because the meaning of this dream was beyond their imagination
Nebuchadnezzar got mad and ordered their execution.


Daniel a captive from Judah offered an explanation,
That brought Nebuchadnezzar great jubilation.
Daniel said that Nebuchadnezzar was the head of gold
His kingdom was strong, and he would be bold.

But after his kingdom had reached its end.
An inferior one would rule again.
Yet another would rise after the second had fallen.
A kingdom of bronze would be the third to have risen.


Following that kingdom, there would be a fourth, strong as iron,
That kingdom would crush previous empires.
It would be divided as clay and iron cannot mix,
Then the kingdom of God would rise in its midst.

The kingdom of God will be as solid as a rock.
No one can crush it, whoever tries will be out of luck.
The dream was true and its meaning was certain.
The kingdom of God would stand forever unending.

He said, 'Funerals are dress rehearsals and every one of us has an expiry date.'

Yesterday was my neighbour's daughter's funeral at the Seventh Day Adventist church.
After the service, we were invited for refreshments in another building at the side of the church.
I wanted to use the restroom so I went there.
There was a step-down that was not clearly defined and I fell face forward and damaged my nose and lip.
Other parts of my body were bruised.
I was spitting blood and that scared me, but later realised it was from a cut on my lip.
I screamed for Rashiff and he came and lifted me off the floor and a huge crowd gathered to sympathize with me.
My neighbour had two doctor relatives there and they checked me out.
It was a horrific experience and we came home right away.
The church minister had just preached from Ecclesiastes 3, "There is a time to be born and a time to die."
I wrote a book based on those words. It is on Amazon.
He said that funerals are dress rehearsals and every one of us has an expiry date.
When I fell, I really thought that it was my expiry date.
