Dog Lovers the World Over will love Spikey's Story - She Cried for Me: Autobiography of a dog
It's coming Soon: Audiobook for She Cried For Me: Autobiography of a Dog.
I am working with Findaway Voices to prepare an audiobook for She Cried for Me: Autobiography of a Dog, a story which children and pet lovers love.
The Narrator is Shaina Summerville and she has done an excellent job.
Look out for it.
If you prefer to read the Ebook get it at Amazon Universal Link for only 0.99 cents
She Cried for Me: Autobiography of a Dog is a heart-wrenching story for pet and dog lovers.
A young dog becomes tired of being underfed and abused.
Scared of her owner's threat to kill her, she runs away.
Dog catchers are on her trail.
The owner of a dog sanctuary spots her.
Will she be rescued?
Can she find a loving home with a loving family.?
Extract of a Review:
The story is clever and really gives you an insight into what this special dog thought about those around them, as well as their own worries and fears about things and situations they did not understand.
If you are an animal lover, or you appreciate that life is passing every single moment, or you believe that pets are not just pets - something to be discarded when they die, you will take something from this book.
I will not say you will enjoy it - it hits home on many points that if you lost a pet recently, it may not be the time to read it.
But the important thing to recognise, is that this is a story with a heart as big as the dog at its centre, and if that doesn't convince you to read it today, nothing will."
Here is another review

She Cried For Me: Autobiography of a Dog by Brenda Mohammed is Spikey's story. She started life in a loving home until her female owner sadly passed away. Struggling to cope financially & emotionally her husband became consumed with grief, which manifested itself as anger and, in turn, the neglect of Spikey, her mother & brothers. This resulted in the death of her mother & loss of her brothers.
Spikey, like quite a few dogs who have been in a similar situation, could have become bitter & aggressive & never be rehomed permanently, ever again. Not everyone has the patience or time to reach out to a neglected animal by giving them the quality of life they deserve, & slowly build their love & trust in mankind, once more. Read, 'She Cried For Me....' to find out how an undernourished & badly beaten, Spikey fairs when she is made to fend for herself.

Books containing my travel memoirs.
A Reviewer said about My Life as a Banker: "This might sound strange to say about a book with banker in the title, but the author demonstrates quite vividly that there are far more important things than money in life."
A Reviewer had this to say about Retirement is Fun.
"Such an enjoyable read!
Retirement Is Fun" is an enjoyable account of life after retirement, written by an amazing author, Brenda Mohammed.
Ms. Mohammed recounts in great detail her decision to embark on a totally new career, with its ensuing challenges and rewards, after retiring from a successful career in banking.
"Why not?" was her mental approach as she entered the world of insurance, quickly rising to the top of the profession as she continually worked tirelessly to increase her skills and abilities.
"Retirement Is Fun" is not only a testament to her success, but to her absolute enjoyment of life and everything it has to offer.
Ms. Mohammed writes about her professional successes, but also of her personal life.
The reader gets to know her extended family as they are such an integral part of her life.
She enjoys her family, travels often and extensively throughout the world, revels in her grandchildren and is a marvelous example of how much one can achieve in life."
Travel Memoirs with Pictures received many five-star reviews. Here is one.
A great and inspirational book!
Format: Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
Brenda Mohammed is an award-winning author who writes in many genres. While many people travel, few of us are capable of sharing our experience in a meaningful and relevant way with strangers. This author does a superb job.
Her book is very personal and one can feel as if a friend were relating her travel impressions and giving us her tips. Paradoxically, this personal and openly subjective touch makes the tips about restaurants and other commercial places for tourists sound less biased than a professional guidebook where it is often difficult to distinguish an honest review from a paid ad. In this book, we can read real first-hand accounts that are very precious to any explorers and travelers.
This book can inspire us when we plan our next vacation, it can also make us reflect on our own experience and realize what we might have missed when we visited a particular place, but it can also take us to places we do not have time or money to visit any time soon. It’s also interesting to read a short entry about places that we consider our home since we cannot always see what makes them special unless we step away and look at them from a distance through a tourist’s eyes.
I found it exciting to read about the places I visited and lived since the author has a keen eye and often notices thinks I don’t. But her chapter on Trinidad and Tobago, a place I have not been to, was probably the most interesting one to me. The author was born there and seems to know it very well. The ghost stories about the village of Lopinot make me want to visit and explore the place.

My Life as a Banker and dealing with Irate Customers
As a Bank Manager, every time I faced a difficult situation on the job, I prayed to God for the wisdom of King Solomon to deal with it.
One day I heard a customer quarreling with a male staff member and asking to see the Manager.
He was cursing and carrying on because his employers did not send his salary to the bank.
I heard the staff member trying to explain to him it was not the fault of the bank and that he should check with his employer, but to no avail.
The staff member then asked me if I would speak to him and I agreed.
When the customer entered my office he seemed shocked to see me.
He covered his mouth with his hands, then apologized profusely for the disturbance he caused.
He repeated a few times, “Miss, I am so sorry. If I knew such a young girl was the manager I would have behaved myself. Please accept my apology. I will do anything you say.”
After offering him a seat, I chatted with him and explained that sometimes there were delays in receipt of salaries from Government agencies.
He was happy with our conversation and left the bank in a good mood.
I handled many irate customers in a calm and similar manner and they all left satisfied.

Dancing around the World
Yes, I have danced in many parts of the world.
I mean dancing physically.
In both books, My Life as a Banker and Retirement is Fun I have described my adventures.
I was talking to my siblings and niece last night as we were discussing music, dancing, times, and places.
We played several songs and reminisced about old times.
Actually, we were selecting songs to play at my husband's birthday celebration later in the month.
It occurred to me that I had danced to some of those songs in different parts of the world.
I danced in Germany, Holland, London, Cirencester, Virginia, Los Angeles, Colorado, New Orleans, Barbados, and of course in my native country, Trinidad.
If I left out any places I am sure that you, my readers will discover them.
I have also published a book on my Travel Memoirs.
Travel Memoirs with Pictures: Exploring the World is a book filled with reflections of the author's travels around the world.
She relates the family adventures and treats readers to a pictorial travel book of priceless memories.
She describes places visited and the wonderful times she and her family had in their tourist trips, not only in words but with an amazing photo collection.
The book is great to read while on a vacation or for some travel inspiration.
REVIEW
An informative and enjoyable book to read. The author writes of her world travels with her family. She shares her experiences with the reader.
You'll read of the various sites to see in each location, the restaurants with delicious foods, and which restaurants are more reasonable in cost and which more expensive. She writes of the various ways to travel and of the climate of the location. You read her travels to different locations in the world:
Paris, Germany, Amsterdam (Holland), New York (USA), Los Angeles, California(USA), Las Vegas, Nevada (USA), London (United Kingdom), Toronto (Canada), Colorado (USA), New Orleans (USA), Italy, Spain, Miami (USA), Orlando (USA), Caribbean Vacations, Anguilla, Puerto Rico, Caracas, Barbados, Cruise to the Bahamas, Cartegena, Cruise to Cozumel (Mexico), Trinidad and Tobago.
Nearing the end of her book she ends with a delightful poem of her travels. This was a nice touch.

Retirement is Fun is a great motivational and inspirational story for anyone who needs uplifting.
I woke up this morning to find two wonderful five-star reviews for my book, RETIREMENT IS FUN.
1.Great Motivational Read!
March 7, 2018
Format: Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
What can I say about "Retirement Is Fun?" It’s a book that gives the good and the bad of living in this 21st century.
There are incredible miracles and incredible heartbreaks, yet through it all with the support of family and faith in God, we prevail.
The author wrote the accounting as it occurred, with no frills or embellishments.
She takes the reader along with her to the many places she visited.
Her obvious enjoyment in them is a testament to her wonderful spirit.
The book is written in two parts.
I was happy the author gives us the good news in the first half, that way, the reader is able to see her strength and appreciate from whence she came.
I was impressed with the places she had visited.
I’d thought I was a world traveler, but I take my hat off to her and her wonderful family.
This is a great motivational and inspirational story for anyone who needs uplifting.
2. A breath of fresh air

WOMEN IN HORROR MONTH 2018 – AN INTERVIEW WITH BRENDA MOHAMMED BY F HOGAN
Welcome to Day 18 of Women in Horror Month 2018. We’re into the third weekend of our horror extravaganza and today I would like to introduce you to author Brenda Mohammed, memoir writer and a prolific author who writes in many genres, including dystopian, zombie fiction.
Brenda Mohammed did not choose writing as a career. It happened by chance.
She was a successful banker and after she retired from banking, moved on to Insurance where she also excelled.
She qualified for the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table six times in a row and had the privilege to attend MDRT Conferences abroad.
Those opportunities broadened her knowledge in new areas and prepared her for writing.
Her writing journey began after her bout with cancer.
She wrote ‘I am Cancer Free‘ and self-published it in June 2013 eight years after her near-death experience with cancer.
She wrote that book to tell people suffering from that disease that cancer does not have to be a death sentence.
That book [her first] was the winner of Mc Grath House Indie Book Awards in the category Non-Fiction in September 2016.
It also received a five-star review and five-star seal from Reader’s Favorite in 2017.
She traveled extensively on vacations and conferences for many years during her banking and Insurance careers, and even after retirement. She wrote six memoirs about her cancer experience, life as a banker, retirement, travel, her father’s life, and a spiritual one, all before trying her hand at fiction.
She has written eighteen books to date.
She lives on the beautiful Caribbean Island of Trinidad with her husband and is a fan of photography and art.
She donates books to children’s hospitals, national libraries, and school libraries.
Here is my interview with Brenda:
Question 1. Which horror writers do you read?
I read stories by Stephen King. He’s the master of horror.
Question 2. Describe your work, in what sub-genre do you write?
I am a multi-genre writer. I have written eighteen books.
Seven of them are for lovers of science fiction/fantasy/horror, six are personal memoirs, two are for children, two are for lovers of romance, and one is for new and aspiring authors – How to Write for Success.
Question 3. Discuss a favourite character in one of your stories or books.
Dr. Steven Sharpe is my favourite character in Revenge of Zeeka: Horror Trilogy.
One fateful day, when Steven was just seven years old, he was riding his bike home after visiting a friend who lived in a secluded part of the city. His bike broke down, and he was trying to fix it. A police jeep stopped, and the police officer asked if he could help. There was no one else in the vehicle.
Steven saw no harm in allowing a police officer to help since they are there to protect and serve. Or, so he thought. The police officer came out of the vehicle, looked at his bike, turned it over and tried to repair it. He then said that it needed to go to a bicycle shop. He offered to drive Steven home. Steven accepted the lift and never saw his home again.
The man, who turned out to be Zeeka, threatened the boy to kill his parents and brother if he ever tried to escape from him. He boasted about his police connections and Steven was fearful of him and did whatever he asked. The man could not legally adopt him and changed the boy’s name to Jason Stephens.
He sent him to medical school and he turned out to be the top medical doctor and research scientist on the island of Gosh. Zeeka tried to use him for evil means. Dr. Steven Sharpe knew all of Zeeka’s secrets.
Question 4. Show us the first paragraph of one of your short stories or novels.
“The sounds of sirens rudely awakened Raynor Sharpe from his bed. He heard screeching noises everywhere. Outside his house, people were screaming and shouting.
“What is all that commotion about?” He muttered.
He tumbled out of his bed, staggering and grappled about for his eyeglasses. He was unable to find them in the confusion in which the room was. His clothes were scattered on the floor. A bottle of wine and two wine glasses were on the bedside table. He tripped on a woman’s pair of red high-heel shoes. “What the hell? Whose shoes are these?” He scratched his head trying to recall what happened the previous night.”
Question 5. What was the first work of horror to scare you as a child?
The first horror movie I ever saw was ‘Horror of Dracula.” I was a little girl and it scared the life out of me.
Question 6. If asked to compare yourself to another horror writer, who would you say?
I have not been writing horror long enough to compare myself to any other author. I have been told, however, that my book is movie material.
Question 7. What are you working on at the moment?
At the moment I am working on a story about a serial killer. I know there are many stories about serial killers but mine will be an unusual one.

Women in Horror 2018 - Jeannie Wycherley features Revenge of Zeeka by Brenda Mohammed
REVENGE OF ZEEKA: HORROR TRILOGY
A strange – looking person turned up at the renowned Gosh Hospital in the scenic island of Gosh in the year 2036.
He asked to see Dr. George Brown, Medical Chief of staff.
He claimed to be a zombie who reported to Master Zeeka and revealed information about a plot to attack the hospital.
Dr. Brown, suspicious of his motives, sedated him, left him in Room Nine, and called a meeting of the hospital doctors to discuss the recorded conversation between the zombie and himself.
The zombie had no name and Dr. Brown referred to him as Number Nine because he had left him in Room 9.
Nine outsmarted Dr. Brown and disappeared, causing the doctors with the exception of two, Dr. Raynor Sharpe and Dr. Mark Schmidt, to disbelieve what Dr. Brown told them.
They even questioned whether Nine was really a zombie as he made no attempt to attack any humans in the hospital.
The three doctors vowed to uncover the truth.
A few weeks later at the national Carnival celebrations, a colourful sailor band with zombie-like persons launched a fatal attack on innocent spectators, confirming Number Nine’s revelations to Dr. Brown. It appeared that Number Nine died in that attack? Fingers were pointed at one man for the brutal attacks, but was he the real perpetrator? One man knew Zeeka’s secrets and he revealed them on a flash drive.
Did the authorities believe him or did they falsely accuse him?
Read the five-star review from Readers Favorite.
In Revenge of Zeeka: Horror Trilogy by Brenda Mohammed, the island of Gosh is under attack by an army of zombies under the command of a vengeful science genius.
In the year 2016, the Zika virus broke out in Central and South America with life-threatening effects for pregnant women.
Given a choice to save the mothers or the unborn babies, a decision was made to save the mothers.
The tiny stillborns were securely and secretly buried.
Only a few people knew of this. Unknown to everyone, however, a certain scientist managed to get hold of all 51 bodies, bring them back to life, and condition them to follow his command, creating himself a perfect army of zombies.
Now, twenty years later, the evil scientist seeks revenge on those he holds responsible for the stillbirths. Only three of the current doctors at Central Hospital – Raynor, Mark, and George – witnessed the unfortunate events of 2016.
The three have strong suspicions about who might be controlling the zombies.
Meanwhile, Zeeka is lying in wait for the perfect time to unleash his army onto the island.
Zeeka has big, evil plans and this is just the beginning.
In a desperate search for answers, and with very little to go on, the doctors search for the elusive Master Zeeka.
Will they save the islanders from Zeeka and his zombies, or will it be too late?
Praise for the Trilogy
“Revenge of Zeeka, by Brenda Mohammed, is a one of a kind novella trilogy that delivers an incredible story guaranteed to give readers an absolute sci-fi treat.
I especially liked how Brenda used current events as the pivotal point from which to build this amazing sci-fi horror.
This made the story even more relatable.
More importantly, however, I admired how she owned her story and created this captivating version of events.
She captured with amazing depth the setting, characters, plot, and emotions in such few words.
If you are looking for a thrilling short read, this fast-paced, sci-fi action novella will give you the time of your life.”
